In recent years, with the development of the information society, the network is changing modern life and work methods and contacts, It have brought about tremendous impact on spiritual world of people. As a new technical means, the network arouses college students' widespread concern and active participation. On one hand, network develops the extent of social contact and meets their feeling needs, improving their interpersonal relationships. On the other hand, the network arouses the young college students' great attraction. In the meanwhile, it leads the students to indulge in it. The college students regard network as a way to avoid contact and living pressure .As a result, the network causes the negative effects on students' contact. Therefore, correct and comprehensive understanding of the double impact of network on students' contact can make schools help students establish a scientific concept of interpersonal contact. This is the thesis purpose.Currently, the theoretical study on the network and college students' interpersonal contact mainly concentrates on the features of network society, the effect of the network on human life, network social ethics, etc., although some research about the effect of network on college students' interpersonal contact have been done, there is no systematic in-depth study, only individual articles contained in the shallow exposition and analysis. In this paper, using the empirical research-based methods, adopting questionnaires, analyzing the investigation findings in statistical methods. In order to handle the object of the effects of the network on college students' interpersonal contacts.This paper is divided into four sections. Section 1 presents the purpose of the study, significance, research direction, research methods, data sources and the research content. Section 2 describes the basic conditions. Section 3 analyses the questionnaire investigation in quantitative method, analyzing the positive impact of the network on students' contact. With the combination of four major characteristics, anonymous, super-space, open, equal and its negative impacts with the combination virtual and weak monitoring network. Section 4, Starting from the society, schools and the students themselves raise the question how to regulate and ensure the healthy development of students' interaction in the context of network.
