| As an important part of higher education, general education is a kind of educational idea and practice, aming at fostering learners' autonomy and achieving the all-around and harmonious development through cultivating learners' fundamental knowledge, basic skills and basic personality accomplishment in human cultivation,. General education promotes the elevation of quality in higher education and facilitates the comprehensive development of college students. It plays an increasingly important role in such areas as talent cultivation in universities, civic diatheses lifting and comprehensive and sustainable economic and social development.Based on a basic theoretical research on the concept of general education, its characteristics, and its respective relation with specialty education, quality education and culture quality, this thesis firstly discusses the comprehensive and systematic operation mechanism of general education in universities in areas such as idea, structure, system and teaching staff through a comparative analysis between reformations and strategic measures in general education among universities home and abroad. Then it analyzes the factors such as idea, system, interest and practice which block the development of general education in universities in Jiangxi Province. By adopting Mckinsey 7S Model in transformation management, the thesis lastly construct a multidimensional reformation strategic model which consists of shared vision, strategy, structure, system, staff, skill and style for general education in universities in Jiangxi provinces. |
