CUBA has become the largest-scale, most outstanding and influential individual competition of P.E. for college students after 11-year development, whose influence is wide and goes beyond the competition rules in itself. However, as emergence and development of a newly emerging thing, CUBA' s theoretical research and practical summary are very weak. With the aim of nurturing competent personnel, cultivating excellent basketball players will play important role in improving the level of basketball in higher institutions and training reserve forces of Chinese basketball. However, in the athlete-student' s cultivating system, the most important thing is to manage students' name on the school roll. Therefore, it' s necessary to set up serious enrolled qualifications checking, strict credit requirements, perfect management of teaching process, reasonable rewards and punishments measures. Based on such recognition, we begin to pay close attention to the developed country—--America. The author of the thesis looks up a lot of literatures, and collects a large numbers of data concerning high-level basketball teams of higher institutions. At the same time, the author makes an investigation about 28 higher institutions that take part in the competition via questionnaire, and analyzes the data mathematically and statistically. In addition, the author has interviews with the experts, and thus, he learns the status quo of high-level basketball teams of higher institutions in China thoroughly. Finally, the author compares and studies the major managerial factors of athlete-student' s name on the school roll of higher institutions between America and China, and makes a conclusion that American and Chinese management styles may complement each other. NCAA and the system of Association Competition supplement and complement each other because of its detailed and coordinated rules in terms of management of college students' name on the school roll. The study sums up as follows:First, for enrolled qualifications checking of athlete-student, NCAA has set up many examination standards. While the standard of enrolled qualifications of athlete-student of CUBA is too simplistic. Second, each individual school of NCAA has strict credit requirements. As for CUBA, each school that joins in the competition has no specific rules for credit and lacks of unified standard.Third, in the management of teaching process, each individual school of NCAA strictly follows its regulations, and persists that the first status of athlete-student is the student. While each school of CUBA arranges training time differently, and some even have a bad influence on athletes' normal study because of long training time. In addition, for competition management, each school of CUBA lacks unity and seriousness. Forth, the graduation rate of athlete-student of NCAA is consistent with that of common students in the school, and the graduation rate of some schools is even much higher than that of the common students. In China, basketball athlete-student may graduate and find the job with the help and guarantee of the school, which violates the academic strictness. Fifth, The rewards and punishments of NCAA are classified very specifically, and rewards and punishments are clear and obvious. While the rewards and punishments of CUBA are simplistic, and lacks of unified management. Therefore, the author suggests that CUBA should set up unified management regulations of student' s name on the school roll, and thus each higher institution that competes in the match may follow the same regulations—serious enrolled qualifications checking, strengthened credit standard, perfect management of teaching process, and improved. graduation management and rewards and punishments method.
