Reasearch On General Education In China University

Theses years ,reasearchers in our country begin to think much of the general education,a lot of universities take the reform of the education and teaching,and they call the reform"the practice of general education",for example,Peking university,Fudan university,Huazhong university of Science and Technilogy.Facing these phenomenons,we begin to think ,what is general education?why do we need general education? How do the universities practice it in our country?Why does it practice unusefully in our country? This paper is the results of these questions.I think general education is the important developmental direction.In this direction,enhancing the research of general education is useful for higher education in our country.This paper has four parts:The first chapter is the foreword,in this part,I give the introduction of the researchs for general education ,these researchs include the ontic and pratice of general education.Then I give the lack of these researchs,and the innovation of my paper.The second chapter is the understanding of general education, First,I give the concept of general education from a new view. Then I analyze the characters of general education and the wrong understands of it.At last I give the function of general education.The third chapter,I analyze the differences of general education in Amercia and our country from a relative view.These differences are at the aim,the content of courses,the pratice of courses, teacthers for general education. I think there are a lot of problems of the practice of general education nowadays.The forth chapter,give the reasons of the unuseless in general education in our country.and give some countermeasures: changing the faith of education; perfecting the setting of courses ,improving the methods of teaching,perfecting the management of courses for general education,enhancing the constructing of teachers of general education.
