Researching Of Local Universities Serve The Economy And Development Of The Society

The concept of running universities is to properly combine the advanced educational theory with the practice. It is the guideline and also the soul of establishing higher education. Local university serving the regional economy is part of its kernel concept. Besides, it bases on the practical circumstance, developing merits while avoiding weakness, seeking truth from facts. By that means, it explores its own way in running universities and considers cultivating self characteristics as its goal. In this article, based on the analysis of the guiding ideology of some local universities in Shaanxi province, it brings forward my own opinions on how these local universities could promote the regional economy and the social development in a better way.In "Writing Purpose" of the article, it describes the position and utility of local university in the higher education in our country, analyzing its closely linked influence towards social economy and development. Then it states the current situation of the development of local university and concludes some problems to deepen the significance of researching its educational concept, including inaccurate object, single mode, similarity of human resource, lack of characteristics etc. In the second part, it tries to pursue the origin of local university from the historic point of view. The change of educational concept and the progress of some local universities with international fame can prove that to serve the social economy and development is the basis of the emergence and growth of local universities in and abroad. In the third and the fourth parts following, it selects some local universities which belong to Shaanxi Province, analyze their developments and changes in educational concept and practice through data, cases and comparisons and extract the core thought that it is the essential aim for local universities to promote the local economy and improvement. The fifth part put forwards my own suggestion on enriching and perfecting the educational concept of those universities subordinated to Shaanxi Province. At last, in the summing-up, it calls on local universities to recognizethe circumstance and advance with the time, turning the purpose of serving the localeconomy and development to their own guideline, system and the goal which needs to beachieved by all the teachers and the students. I believe that in the long run, localuniversity would works out its own feature and walks up to resplendence.
