A Brief Discussion On Internet Culture And School Moral Education

The well-known U.S. futurist Alvin Toffler believes that:"the establishment and promotion of computer networks will completely change the mode of human to live, and the man who controls Internet even can govern the world. "The development of Internet technology, the rise of Internet culture and the arrival of social networks, will prompt the revolutionary changes of the traditional moral education in school. These revolutionary changes include changes in moral education objectives, content, ways and so on, above which the changes of the thoughts on school moral education are the most important part. There is no doubt that the research on Internet culture and school moral education is an important part of the researches on modern school moral education and in the 21st century must be one of the main topics of concern. This research shows that Internet culture based on the network is deeply different from traditional culture. With the arrival of Internet culture era, school moral education based on the traditional culture shows a significant lag. Internet culture brings huge impacts to traditional school moral education, specially to the four pivotal elements of school moral education: the thoughts on moral education, the communication mode of moral education, the contents of moral education and the means of moral education.This research holds that, face to the rapid development of Internet culture, we must update our thoughts on moral education, strengthen innovations of the various elements of moral education to adapt to the development requirements of school moral education. Under the background of Internet culture era, the innovation of school moral education is a systematic project. It needs various efforts. For school itself the innovations include: the thoughts innovation, the contents innovation, the means innovation, and so on. Above all, the thoughts innovation is fundamental, and without the thoughts innovation, it is impossible to accomplish other innovations.The emphasis on the effects of Internet culture on the communication mode of school moral education is one of the characteristics in this research. This research links up with the regeneration of the manner of social communication,school moral education and the background of Internet culture, and summarizes the effects of Internet culture on the communication mode of school moral education with three aspects: the understanding on the space-time of school moral education,the understanding of the identity on school moral education and the relation between the two parties of school moral education. Based on this summarization, this research starts its argumentation.
