One of the missions of Chinese Higher Education is to cultivate high level professional person for Socialism Modernization Construction. Paying more attention to mental health education of university students can optimize their psychological quality and improve their mental health level. It is inevitable request of higher education which is oriented to the modernization program, to the global perspective and to our nation's future goals, and to meet the needs of talented person for socialist market economy development. However, inaccurate orientation and confused understanding its function of mental health education in long time have been the key factors to hinder its healthy development.The relationship between mental health education and college moral education has always been a hot issue in education sector. The main purpose of this study is to orientate mental health education accurately and display its unique function by correctly tackling the relationship between mental health education and college moral education. Based on the theoretical point of view about Marxism, this paper has conducted in-depth study and exploration of this problem by reading literature, comparative analysis, theoretical analysis and research methods of analysis. In the beginning of mental health education into college education system, the relationship between mental health education and college moral education has caused the scholars'widespread concern and research. This paper analyzed and proved the main basis of mental health education in college moral education system from three angles. Analyzed from the academic point of view, mental health education and ideological education, political education, moral education have a common origin theory, Marxism on the theory of the comprehensive development, and that they must follow the psychology mechanism of education. Analyzed from the practical point of view, mental health education, ideological education, political education and moral education have the same objectives of consistency, common principal and mutual penetration. From the point of view of system theory, mental health education in college moral education system can optimize its own moral education system.This paper, posited mental health education an integral part of college moral education system, and cleared the specific location in college moral education system. System theory considers that whole function depends on integrity function and the relationship between the various components. Mental health education will keep sustained development and enhance college moral education more focused and effective when it orientate accurately. This paper orientated mental health education accurately from the nature, value, structure and functions dimensions. Firstly, this paper orientated mental health education basically from its nature and value angles, and then analyzed the fundamental location of mental health education in college moral education system from the view of the level of quality, psychological process, psychological mechanism and recognizing stage. As long as the students having good psychological quality, they can correctly understand and deal with the surrounding environment and the reality of the problems, difficulties and contradictions, actively and effectively accept the school's ideological, political and moral education, change school's education into own experience, quality, standards and habits, become the person consistent with the objective of fostering for school personnel. Mental health education is the education to train student's good psychological quality, so it is base of the moral system. Finally, this paper gave mental health education a functional orientation in moral education system, that is to say moral education system has the personalized functions, the promotion functions, the driver functions and the added features.As the conclusions, this paper discussed the realized way of mental health education to achieve the function in moral education system. This paper considered that mental health education function must interact with other common parts of moral education, because it is a part of college moral education system, its specific way of achieving is also based on this premise.
