Philatelic items are products of consume society; their attribute of commodity are objectively exist. Under the creative industries of the new intellectual economy, developing philatelic items is back to the way of the humanization of culture. Modern advanced technique makes products almost the same in quality. The basic difference among them is their different cultural additional value. When people read a cultural-connotation philatelic item, he would be addicted not only to the first version impress, but also the inner meaning of the item.As cultural products, philatelic items have their individual characters. Interest is an obvious one, which is the difference from other commodities. The essence of philatelic items is the stamp. The other interesting elements are all the parts of a complete philatelic item. Without any parts, a philatelic item would lose its own character. As cultural products, the design of philatelic items influent the value orientation of people, and at the same time, they participate in the construction of culture. The design of philatelic items meets people's demands for philatelic activities, reflects their lifestyle, life attitude, philosophy and ideology of modern society. The inner meaning of philatelic items is the connection of national consciousness and design consciousness. New lifestyle and life concept have formed new consuming values, new cultural consciousness made new fashion and individual consciousness. Under such cultural environments, the design of philatelic items needs to develop its self image, to take more importance to the cultural value of philatelic items, and as a result, to lead people's consume trend. Without the stamp, how to use culture and its inner meaning to create a clear product figure is the problem we discuss in this article. This article analyses the design of philatelic items from its art style, design method, social formation and culture thought under the creative industries environment. The author not only looks into the appearances of philatelic design, but probes more deeply and comprehensive on this problem.
