Innovation sustains the soul of a nation's progress and a nation lacking innovation will always be a backward nation. Innovation is the essence and core of education and an education without innovative ideas will always be outworn. Innovation quality education guides students to learn and explore innovative rules and innovative methods, cultivate students' innovative consciousness, innovative spirits, innovative thoughts and innovative abilities. Being an educational activity training students to be qualified innovative and competent people, it facilitates the development of the qualities of morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor. In short, innovation quality education is an educational activity aiming to fully cultivate and improve students' innovative quality and train students to be qualified innovative andicompetent people. It comes into being with human being's innovative activities and nails down gradually. It originates from creative education, quality education and innovative education. Along with the scarce opportunity at the turn of the new century, conforming to the global economic integration and the austere challenge from the knowledge-oriented economy, the new mechanism of innovative education is now coming into being gradually in China. Innovation education for modern university students is the key and core of quality education as well as an important educational task which is the concern of the current higher education. Whether a university student has a good innovative quality and strong innovative ability is closely related to the success of a higher education and to a country's competitive position in the world. The 21st century is an era of knowledge and information, full of innovation and fierce competition, full of challenges and opportunities. Innovative quality is the totality of the abilities and spirits of creating and discovering new things and of solving new problems. This dissertation provides an understanding of the concepts of quality education and innovation quality education, explores the problems such as the philosophical relations and the philosophical understanding of the two, the status quo and the causes of the innovative quality of today's university students, and how to cultivate their innovative quality. In addition, this dissertation attempts to explore the model and methods for cultivating students' innovative quality. Finally, this dissertation looks to the prospect of the development of modern university students' innovative quality education, philosophically and rationally.
