The modern society emphasizes person's self-value realization. Having consumption capacity should be as important as possessing production capacity. That's because consumption is an essential condition of the human survival, as well as the purpose and destination of the human activity. Thus education not only must enhance the human's quality as a producer, but also should enhance the human's quality as a consumer. However, regardless of theory or reality, people pay more attention to the influence of education on labor skill, and ignore the impact on the enjoyment of life and self-development consumption skills.Obviously, people with good educational background are more influential by education than other persons. Their production capacity is usually with the increase in the level of education increased, while, their consumption skills are not corresponding improvements as productive capacity in general, i.e. the person who has received post-graduate education may not have the better consume behavior than the one who has received undergraduate education. This is because the influence of education on the consumer primarily reflected in the impact of education on income, then indirect impact consumer behavior through income. Well-educated crowd is generally high income group. In the situation of ignoring paying capacity, the influence of education on them is very little.It shows that having the capacity to pay can not be simply equated with the improvement of the quality of consumption. The problem which exists in some well-educated persons can indicate that there are some deficiencies in our education. The educational influence on consumption has not got enough attention yet, which is the immediate cause to this condition.Therefore, in order to further improve the people's quality of life and better realize personal self-value, we must try our best to change the current situation that education gets adrift of consumption, strengthen the research of influence of education on consumer behavior, and enhance education in the consumption function.
