The classroom instruction is still the main channel of implementing education in the university, and the teaching language influences the result of classroom instruction directly. The quality of classroom instruction can reflect and determine the whole quality of the university education to a great extent. This paper regards the teaching language in classroom as research object, probes into the basic characteristics and pragmatic principles of the teaching language in classroom, and explores such issues as how to improve the language arts in teaching.The paper mainly includes six parts:Introduction partThe basis of the selected title, the current research situations and the meaning of the research are briefly discussed.Part one the definition and the classification of the teaching language .The strict definition of the teaching language is given in this part and the teaching language in classroom is divided into two kinds: the sound language and silent language.Part two the basic characteristics and pragmatic principles of the teaching language in classroom.The basic characteristics of the teaching language in classroom are regarded as scientific, objective, interactive and artistic. The pragmatic principles used by teachers include the validity principle and acceptability principle of the words.Part three the application of body language in the classroom instruction.The body language, as a kind of special language phenomenon, plays an irreplaceable role in the classroom instruction. The proper use of body language can achieve the unexpected effects.Part four the means of improving teacher's language arts.How to improve the teacher's language arts in classroom instruction from three aspects is the focus of the discussion.Conclusion part a simple summary of the paperThe research value is further emphasized in this part.The teacher's language training, to a large extent determines students' interest, influences students' learning enthusiasm, and is directly related to the quality of teaching. Therefore,the university teachers should understand the basic requirements of the teaching language, master the basic laws of the teaching language, and constantly improve language arts in classroom instruction.
