The research investigated 526 junior high school students in Wuhan City .Based on the data from the questionnaires, the thesis focuses on the relation between junior high school students'peer relationships and their values discussed under the socialization theory and the group socialization theory.Firstly, to investigate the present situation of peer relationships, this thesis describes and analyzes the peer population, peer structure, peer acceptance, peer friendship and the standard of choosing friends among peers, discovers peer relationships of junior high school students similar.Secondly, it studies their views in the field of competition view, collective view, social ethics view, honesty and credit view. It has been discovered that the peer population has no apparent effect on the values of junior middle school students, but the peer quality and friendship quality do, and the higher quality of the laters, the more satisfactory of their values to the society. As a whole,the values of junior high school students are also similar.Lastly, multiple analysis is used to compare the effect between peer group relationships and the educational method of their parents. The peer friendship quality and the educational method of parents will take their exertion on them; peer relationships have a more effect on students than parents'educational method does. This conclusion is echoed the group socialization theory.According to the conclusions, the study tries to explain the similitudes of peer relationships and values, the reason of peer relationships` influence being more strong.The study thinks that the group socialization theory provides a new inspect for other researcher.It has more actual and academic significances.
