Under new curriculum background, as the education between general education and vocational education, the education art school shows its disadvantages in prefering professions to culture. It gradually deviates the aim of education reform which requires the change from examination-oriented education to quality education. Breaking the deadlock of this education is to be the general trend. The reform of teaching method should be the importance of teaching reform. How to break this deadlock effectively to inspire the enthusiasm in autonony, learning and promote the students' humanity? The discussing method of teaching as dominant method is a necessary and feasible choice which is applied in Chinese teaching in art school. The discussing method which is discussion-oriented, with explantion, question, self-reading takes the coopertine learning method as the main form, emphasizing the teacher as learing guid. Its main advantages lie in the student-oriented, that is focusing on students' active learing, independence and creativity, emotion in the learing conrse, taking part in the direet dialogues with texts, suggseting the teachers' leading position. The most effect of discussing method is promoting efficiency of the classroom, while its deep effect is to optimize the learing capablitiy of the students in art school. To testify the actual effect of the discussing method, the author has carried out the teaching experiment for one year, whose results show: the discussing method as dominent menthod in Chinese teaching of art cshool, not only promoting the Chinese teaching apparently, but also speeding up the teachers' professional development, improving the value of role changing, realizing Chinese diversitips, inspiring the students' desire to learn, building the confidence of learning Chinese and the ecological enviroment and constructing a new curriculum culture.
