| The job stress of teachers in university refers to that the teachers who cannot meet some needs are in the state of strain and anxiety; the job burnout refers to the teachers who cannot adapt to their jobs are in the state of exhaustion on physiology, psychology and behavior. Taking the university teachers as the study object, this paper has analyzed the differences of the demography variables between job stress and job burnout, then deeply discussed the relationship between them through the method of questionnaire. Its purpose is to make university supervisors learn more about the situation of teacher's job and related factors that can influence their jobs, hoping that it can offer some references and help for improving the level of management to the teachers in university.The job stress scale that this paper has used mainly comes from 'University Teacher Job Stress Scale' which is made by vice Prof. Li Hong form Qinghua University Research Institute. After being modified, the new scale includes 6 dimensions: Educating Security, Working Interest, Human Relations, Working Security, Working Load and System Security. The job burnout being used is made by Schaufeli and Maslach, and translated by Li Chaoping and Shi Kan from Chinese Academy of Science. It is a universal scale including 3 dimensions: Emotional Exhaustion, Cynicism and Reduced Personal Accomplishment.There are 306 formal samples that are used in this paper mainly come from some universities located in Liaoning province. After being analyzed statistically, the conclusions are listed as below:(1) The job stress and job burnout of university teachers are both multi-dimension variables.(2) The demography variables have the differences on job stress and job burnout at different levels.(3) Besides Human Relations, the other dimensions of job stress have significant or less significant conelations with at least one dimension of job burnout; Educating Security of job stress has a strong ability to predict the 3 dimensions of job burnout, System Security and Working Load of job stress can also predict Emotional Exhaustion of job burnout. |
