A Study Of The Autonomous Enrollment System Of Higher Education In China

Enrollment system reform is the pieces of breach of higher education system reform in China. Autonomous enrollment which is an enrollment mode coordinates and Parallels the college entrance examination. As a significant measure of deepening the enrollment system reform, it helps the higher institutions select excellent and innovative talents, as well as expands the education autonomy. The same as the issue of all the new systems, Autonomous enrollment system meets lots of problems. It makes the reform and development of the enrollment system cannot achieve a lot. After a review of the history of university recruitment system since 1949, based on the study of autonomy enrollment system, this paper uses the method of documentation study, Comparative Study and interview to analyze the problems below: the male features and flaws of the autonomous enrollment; the successful experiences of American enrollment system; the prospect of the reform and methods which should be taken to improve the autonomous enrollment system are also discussed in this paper.More than 50 years since 1949, with the development of the economy and society, enrollment system changes a lot, especially more than 20 years' recovery of college entrance examination system. Seen from enrollment plan, examination and enrollment form, it falls into three stages: the forming stage of the national standardized examination during the period of planned economy, enrollment system reform during the transformation of higher education system, the reform of enrollment system and the implementation of autonomy enrollment in Present Stage. There are some enlightenment after reviewing the history of university recruitment system: the sustained reform of the enrollment system adopt the development of the society and personal training. The development trend is that universities enroll new students independently. During the performance course of autonomy enrollment system, problems affect the effectiveness of the reform: the restrictive rights of autonomy enrollment, the disabled running system, improve the enrollment code, justice and fairness. Based on the research of American experiences, according to the problems of enrollment system reform, the paper finally put forwards the proposals of autonomous enrollment system: perfect the enrollment examination system, enforce diversified enrollment, set up professional examination institution, implement the dependence of enrollment and examination, deepen the supervisor system, show the educational fairness, enrollment students by the law and regulate the enrollment behavior.
