Statistics, a science closely related with life, is widely applied to life. And many achievements and advances in other science fields have further proved the resplendency and importance of mathematical statistics. People are attaching more and more importance to the teaching of statistics.Its curriculum features and students' ages and characteristics in studying statistics should be seriously considered in the first stage of compulsory education. Due to conditional teaching ideal, in teaching statistics the schools suffering from "three difficulties", viz.: difficult to learn, difficult to teaching and difficult to solve exercise problems. So "force-feed duck" teaching methods, such as emphasizing knowledge, logical and formal training does not fit for the students' demands. Teaching in statistics should be transferred from the teacher's centre to students' activity centre. Students will obtain harmonious development not only in mathematical knowledge and ability, but also in emotion, attitude and value of price. The teaching of statistics will play its real role in training applied technicians.Guided with modern educational psychology and combined with the author's years of teaching experience, the paper aims at solving the concrete problems in teachers and students. The author borrowed the research results of many experts and craft brothers applying the method of literature analysis. Based on the successful application of some cases in statistics teaching, this paper has put forward six teaching tactics in teaching statistics: 1. Design the statistics teaching based on the children's physical and psychological characteristics. 2. Upgrade the professional qualities of teacher themselves and improve the efficiency of statistics teaching. 3. Stir the students' interest in learning statistics by games and examples in real life. 4. Adapt the teaching material opportunely according to the practical situation and regional characteristics of students to arouse the students' interest in learning statistics. 5. Pay more attention to develop the statistics thinking of students, guide the students practice the statistics. 6. Excavate the teaching material of the statistics, Pay more attention to develop the student.
