Views on life values are the fundamental views of a person for the values of life, and the basic viewpoint held when evaluating his own social status, life purpose and significance, and the relationship between persons, between a person and society, and between a person and a collective. Further, they compose an important content in appraising the ideological and political education of the vocational education institutions, for it relates to such questions as what kind of people the colleges cultivate and the way they cultivate them.This thesis comprehensively exploits theories on the ideological and political education, connects related knowledge in philosophy, ethics, psychology and other subjects, adopts such specific methods as literature, investigation, comparison, etc., analyzes the status quo of vocational college students' values of life, problems in their life values and the causes, proposes the countermeasures of intensifying vocational college students' life values. The study was conducted by three components:The first part Tackles, combining the research and study data, the present picture of life values of vocational college students from three aspects: life value purpose, life value realizing means and life value appraisal, and analyzes that there exists the following problems in their life values: setting store by personal interests while ignoring those of the country, collective and others; the general level of life values set on the lower side with misled pursuit; weak in willing power, self-satisfaction with the present with no intention to advance; non-unity in knowledge and activity; pursuit of extravagance and enjoyment.Part II Analyzes the causes of vocational college students' values in life. The study regards that impacts of social environment, deviation in family education, lack of some aspects in school education, and shortcomings in students themselves are all causes leading to the existing problems.Part III makes, according to the present situation in vocational college students' values of life and the causes of existing problems, targeted education strategies, which suggest that the education of vocational college students' life values is a systematic project, requiring the society, colleges and families to play their respective roles, and the cooperation among the three to form a concerted education efforts.
