Developing Track And The Regularity Understanding On University Students' Ideological And Moral Quality Since The Foundation Of P.R.C

Moral quality constitutes the soul and core of one's qualities. University students are very important for the nation, the future of the motherland and constructors and they are successors of the Chinese-characterized socialist construction. Their moral quality not only affects their personal development, but also directly relates to the realization of our country's socialist modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese national. Since the Foundation of P.R.C, the moral quality of university students has been experiencing ever-lasting changes with the social transform and conflict evolution, displaying varied characteristics at different historic times, which reflects the historic trace of the Chinese society. It is undoubtedly helpful that the characteristics are observed with a historic insight and thereby primary regulations unearthed. Higher institutes are thus more likely to learn from past ideological and political education, access to the status of moral quality of university students in the new era, and ensure the ideological and political work in higher institutes goes in harmony and order.This thesis is divided into two parts, the first part mainly reviews the historical development of college students' ideological and moral quality. Based on the division of the ideological and political education histroy, in term of historical facts, I will summarize five periods of college students' ideological and moral quality, such as the 1950s and 1960s, the "Cultural Revolution" period, the late 1970s, the 1980s and 1990s, at the beginning of 21st century, and I will draw the developing track of college students' ideological and moral quality since the foundation of P.R.C.I pointed out that college students are highly ideological and moral quality of patriotic and internationalist spirit, political passion and political consciousness, as well as a higher level of socialist morality features in 1950's.And the features of college students' ideological and moral quality include the gradual loss of authority, the gradual awakening of self-consciousness, complex diversity of life values, ideals and beliefs in vague characteristics in the late 1970s, the 1980s. College students have re-firm ideals and beliefs, political participation by the passion to be pragmatic, a double morality Evaluation standards and values more emphasis on the pursuit of the interests of the actual characteristics. Althought at the beginning of 21st century college students' ideological and moral quality maintains positive, healthy, progressive development trend, there is still an issue that can't be ignored is that college students' social responsibility is weakening and political awareness is not higher.Based on the historical facts and data, in the second part I try to find out main regularity of university students' ideological and moral quality. During college students' ideological and moral quality developing process, the economic basis plays a definitively role and the ideological and political education is provided with guiding role. College students' ideological and moral quality can't get rid of the influence of traditional culture and the permeation of foreign culture.
