| Along with the rapid development of society , economy and civilization, various social issues shown by the young contemporary are more and more.This makes the research into the adolescent junior high school students'physical and mental development has aroused people's widespread concern.The study in self-concept of young people is combined with the physical training that can promote the physiological and physical development of junior high school students. Whether it can provide guidance and the theoretical value for the physical and mental health education in schools is the significance of the study. 500 junior high school students in Chengdu were tested. The author used physical activity questionnaire, the Piers-Harris Children's Self-Consciousness Scale, physical self-description questionnaire etc. research tools to collect data; and used the document method, the questionnaire method, the scale method, the data processing method to analyze results of the data, drew the following conclusions:1.Junior high students'self-concept development presents an U type .The self-concept development of the grade seven is the highest. That of the grade eight is the lowest. There is a rising trend in that of the grade nine.2.The male students are better than the female students in the interest, the understanding, the intensity, and the duration of physical training. That of the grade seven is better than the grade eight and the grade nine.3.The junior high school students'understanding degree to physical training is obviously related to the body self-concept, and the whole self-concept.4.The intensity that the junior high school students take exercises with is obviously related to the body self-concept, and the whole self-concept.5.The duration of the junior high school students'physical training is obviously related to the body self-concept, and the whole self-concept.6.The frequency of the junior high school students'physical training is obviously related to the body self-concept, and the whole self-concept.7.The purpose in participating physical training is not obviously related to the body self-concept. But it is obviously related to the whole self-concept.8.The enhancement of the junior high school students'self-concept has the vital significance to the enhancement of their whole self-concept level.9.The school edcation should strengthen sports education for junior high school students , specially for female students and students of higher grades .10.When the junior high school students want to raise the self-concept level through the physical training, they should pay attention to the following several aspects: firstly, has the explicit understanding to physical training's significance. Secondly, Participating in some sports items with relatively big intensity is more advantageous to the self- concept enhancement. Keep up doing exercises no less than one hour everyday. Finally, Raise active interest in physical training. Develop the interesting sports. Sets up the lifelong physical culture goal. But it should not be considered as just the effective tool that can adjust study pressure.11.The physical training not only has the influential role to the junior high school students' physiological growth, but also has the positive significance to the junior high school students' psychological health as well as the personality development. |
