In the 21st century,under mission of learning public education and the guidance of the new curriculum reform of the current study initiated by a change in the way a dialectical thinking purposes,supported by the theory of cognitive characteristics and learning style,it researched cognitive characteristics and learning styles of students to learn the results of chemistry. Studies have shown that cognitive characteristics and learning styles matching teaching can produce better learning outcomes, or more positive attitude. The different teaching methods fit for the different learning style learners. The research has been selected as a sophomore chemical experimental subjects, in 176 high school students for a second-year,tested the cognitive and learning style of all features. At the same time,summarized in the chemical in the process of learning, learning styles and cognitive characteristics of the impact of student achievement. Reach the following conclusion:1. The distribution of cognitive style of high school students for a second-year:boys of Field Independent were more than girls,the number of Field Dependent and Field Middle is little difference.2. The distribution of learning style of high school students for a second-year:declined by diverger,accommodator,converger,assimilator,The mainly learning style for high school students of a second-year is diverger. Diverger girls were more than the boys;the number of accommodator boys was more than the girls',and nearly twice than the number of girls;the boys of converger and assimilator were slightly more than the girls.3.In the students whose chemistry achievement are over 70,the students of Field Independent cognitive style were most,followed by Field Middle;The mainly students whose achievement are scores of 60-69 were Field Middle.Under 60 points,The number of Field Independence was slightly more than the two other categories.4. In the students whose chemistry achievement are over 90 points,the students of accommodator learning styles accounted for half,followed by diverger and assimilator,no converger;the students of scores of 80-89 and 60-79 mainly were diverger,followed by accommodator;the students under 60 points were mainly converger.5. Different cognitive style affected on the students learning style in the process of chemistry studying. Field dependent people tend to diverger learning style,and the number of students whose learning style are converger and assimilator,and cognitive style are Field Independence was more than the number of students whose learning style are the same converger and assimilator,and cognitive style are Field Dependent.6. In a certain sense,the different teaching methods fit for the different learning style and cognitive characteristics learners.In light of these conclusions,the authors made a number of achievements of students raising strategy,and joined the practical case for reference.
