The concept of learning style was first proposed by American scholar Herbert Sullen in 1950s,which then became a subject of many disciplines, including learning theory, teaching theory and teaching psychology.English and multimedia teaching’s style researched early rise in our country. With the scholars exploring, the learning style also apply to the chemistry. The study suggests that the chemistry learning style is the sum of the strategies and tendencies used by chemistry learners. It is a learners’ unique, continuous and consistent learning style. In traditional chemistry teaching, teachers treat students as equally and indifferent individuals, adopt a "one size fits all" approach to each student. Moreover they do not pay attention to the differences in students’ learning style.New curriculum reform requires each student be developed, which means that teachers should focus on the different students. Therefore learning style is greatly important.Teachers should try their best to make every student develop.According to the students’ different styles, teachers should learn the different methods and strategies. At the same time, students should have their own learning style which is fit for themselves. In this way can they improve a lot.The study researched some senior high school students who have the different chemistry learning style by means of questionnaires, observation and interview.Through the investigations,we can acquire the different learning style in chemistry class.Students can also understand their learning style. They should make use of the advantages and recognize the disadvantages to make up for their weakness. In the meantime,it provides the teachers with an important reference which is more suitable for the students.
