Research On Mechanism For The Management Of Voluntary Service In The Urban Mega-Sport Events

The Urban Mega-Sport Events have become the important tool to enhance the urban comprehensive competitiveness. At the same time, the voluntary service is playing an essential part in building the urban ethical and culture civilization. This article has mainly studied the current situation of voluntary service in the Urban Mega-Sport Events in china, discussed the mechanisms for the management of voluntary service in those events as follows: Sydney Olympics, Athens Olympics, the 21st World University Student Games in Beijing, FIFA Women's World Cup 2007 in Hangzhou, Chinese national Women's Volleyball team's Home-match in Ningbo, etc. Based on it, I have researched on the problems that existing in voluntary service in the Urban Mega-Sport Events at present, which is in the application of program theory, the third section theory and the human resourse management theory. In macro perspective, it is necessary to improve the public recognition of the voluntary services, as well as to improve the legal system. In micro perspective, first we need to construct an organizational voluntary service management supporting system through the way to establish the organization's structure scientifically and efficiently, thus to optimize the management system in those organizations. Secondly, improve the management of process in voluntary service, that is, the recruitment and cultivation of volunteers before the race, the superintend and encourage of volunteers during the race, the evaluation and disbandment of volunteers after the race.The study on China's urban Mega-Sport events voluntary service management mechanism has a theoretical and practical significance in promoting the development of Mega-Sport events and the prosperity of the voluntary service, and also cultivating a spirit of urban cities and fostering the urban image.
