Since the foundation of the Communist Party of China, we attach great importance to the ideological construction of universities and colleges. After new China is established, the party formulates the universities' policies according to the main tasks of the party. Although it is only seven years from 1949 to 1956, but this period is very important to the foundation of the PRC and the transition to socialism. This period is very significant in the history of the PRC. The period is divided into two phases: it is the period of the national economic recovery from 1949 to 1952. According to the party's policies about the new democratic education, the party and the government take over and transfer the old China's higher education. Our party establishes the leadership of Universities and colleges. Under the leadership of the party, universities and colleges develop the ideological construction, combining the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the agrarian revolution, the "Three Anti's" Campaign and so on. It is the period of the socialist transformation from 1953 to 1956. The party formulates the college's educational policies. The party strengthens the leadership of the ideological construction in universities and colleges. During this period, the party develops the propaganda about dialectical materialism and the education about communist morality. Political theory of Marxism-Leninism has formed a relatively complete theoretical system and played an important role in the ideological construction in this period. During this period, summarized valuable experience of the ideological construction, it is important to strengthen the ideological construction of universities and colleges.
