As one of the three systems in the textbook, image system have received increasing attention. For a long time,china implementation"one outline one textbook", and Selection and comparison of the textbook does not exist. Therefore, the theoretical study of textbook are less, and the imaging system study of the textbook are even less. In the past there are many problems in the process of the image teaching so on the use of the imaging system in the Renjiaoban geography textbook, problems will also be encounter. How to overcome these problems, at present there is no systematic study. The new characteristics emerged in the new imaging systems whether have its unique value for the training of geographical science literacy still need to be considered.In this paper, it will be study from the following four aspects: the composition of the image system, the guiding role of the image system in teaching, the mastery of Geographic knowledge and skills, the formation of the process and methods, the culture of Feelings, attitudes and values, the presentation of the Image system. From Survey the geography teacher and student in NO.12 middle school of Changchun and the experimental school attached to Northeast Normal University we can conferred that geography teachers are with a high rate of the new imaging systems. Most images have been used in the classroom by teachers. However, in the master of the imaging system, the students do not do very well. In the survey of the integrity of the geographic cognitive structure, knowledge of the geographic images, and the geographic process and method goal, the average score is only 52.3 points (100 points in total). In classroom, images can be used as a vector in the cultivation of geographical perspective, the geography scientific thinking mode and the geography Cognitive structure.Based on studying the imaging system in the geography of Renjiaoban, this study will initial exploration the design features of the image system, the using situation of teachers and the mastering situation of students. The results will be helpful for the correct understanding of the imaging systems in geography of Renjiaoban and will have a significance guiding role in how to use the imaging systems more efficient.
