Geography Science Literacy is an important part of public scientific literacy, but also an important part of geographic literacy. With the development, population, resources, environment, regional economic disparities and other global issues become increasingly prominent, civic responsibility and the world with the idea, has become internationally recognized new educational philosophy in this regard, Geography Education has an irreplaceable role in other disciplines. However, the middle school geography knowledge points are very wide, involving a large number of declarative knowledge which need to understand and remember. Such as terms, names, data, phenomena. This knowledge is the fundamental knowledge of geography. Memory and master this knowledge is the key to reach geographic further study and it is the premise to improve the scientific literacy of geography prerequisite.This study focuses on analyzing the first and second volume textbooks declarative knowledge in the seventh grade, interpreting the geography teaching objectives of the declarative knowledge through the geographical curriculum standard, exploring the relevance between teaching declarative knowledge of geography and training geographical science literacy. Different types of declarative knowledge in teaching, though they are all based on to cultivate a variety of geographic science literacy, but have different emphases. The analysis results are as follows:teaching geography terminology knowledge to develop Geographical Sciences Knowledge; teaching geographical names knowledge to develop Geography Scientific Knowledge and Geography Scientific Method; teaching geography phenomenon knowledge to develop Geography Scientific Knowledge of and Geography Scientific Competency; teaching geographic data knowledge to develop Geography Scientific Knowledge (quantitative data and sequence data) and Geography Scientific Competency (proportional data); teaching geographic distribution knowledge to develop Geography Scientific Knowledge, Geography Scientific Methods, and Geography Scientific Competency.Based on this relevance and the current status of declarative knowledge of teaching geography, I presented the principles of develop geography scientific literacy in junior high school, namely globality, subjectivity, pertinency, procedural. On this basis, explored the geography teaching strategies based on geography declarative knowledge of scientific literacy. Depending on the different types of geography declarative knowledge, the geography declarative knowledge teaching strategies based on geography science literacy consist of five parts. Geography terminology knowledge teaching strategies based on geography science literacy:Join-in Strategy, Hands-on activities Strategy, Independent learning Strategies. Geography names knowledge teaching strategies based on geography science literacy: Divergent thinking Strategies. Geography phenomena knowledge teaching strategies based on geography science literacy:Emphasis on experience Strategy, Situational Strategy. Geography data knowledge teaching strategies based on geography science literacy:Chart Strategy, Compare Strategy. Geography distribution knowledge teaching strategies based geography science literacy:Reading maps Strategies, Knowledge reduction Strategies. And through the eight-week experimental teaching, I verified it is feasible and it can be a reference.
