With the arrival of knowledge economy and information age, the conception of lifelong education and lifelong learning has spread worldwide. In the context, every nation regards educational innovations as an important link of its modernization. As the practitioners of educational activities, teachers'overall quality and level of specialization directly determine the quality of education. Therefore,building up a high quality teaching staff is a common strategy resorted to by all nations in the competition of comprehensive national strength. To accomplish this mission, the pre-post training of the teachers will not suffice. Helping teachers form the conception of lifelong learning, enhancing their cooperative learning and building up new models of teacher cooperation during their teaching career are of great significance in improving the overall quality and specialization of teachers.In 1980s, the learning organization theory was introduced to China and was applied in areas like enterprises and at the same time personal computers and the Internet was becoming more and more popular. Based on the theories of learning organization, structuralism and learning community, using the Internet, virtual learning organization of teachers was initiated as a new model of learning for teachers. This new approach of teachers'learning is beyond the limits of time and space and is of great use in compensating the shortages of teachers'learning from each other in cooperation and promoting the improvement of teachers'professional skills and quality.This thesis starts from introducing the theories related to the construction of virtual learning organization of teachers, i.e. the theories of learning organization, structuralism and learning community, analyzes the current situation of teachers'cooperation and its problems, and then offers strategies on constructing virtual learning organization of teachers, promoting cooperation, mutual learning and information-sharing among teachers in the light of the role that the Internet plays in constructing virtual learning organization of teachers. It is hoped that the thesis can provide certain reference on improving teachers'learning capacity and professional quality during the new turn of curricular reform.
