A Study On The Social Support And Job-seeking Behaviors Of The Master Graduate

As the educational scale of the postgraduate is enlarging, the number of the master graduate has increased greatly; however, the number of social need hasn't increased much .So the rate of employment and the advantage of employment are still gradually decreasing. The questions of employ-behind and losing-job which the people who has received high-education are facing have become more and more important and have been the focus of people. The research about master graduate has been popular too. The purpose of this study t was to describe the basic features of two major variables and to explore the relationship between them. The first variable is the social support network accepted by master graduate; the second one is the job seeking behaviors of them. A questionnaire survey was used to gather data. Social support theory will be useful in explaining the relationship and the functional system between the two variables. According to my research, the conclusions are: Firstly, in our country, in the personal position wanted behavior, the more the master graduate's informal social support, the more position wanted behaviors are. Secondly, concerning their job seeking behaviors, informal channels were rarely used and formal contacts were more frequently used to find jobs; thirdly, to behavior result of the job seeking, master graduate's informal society supports higher than the success rate which the formal society supports and applies for appositions. Fifthly, master graduate is it support higher than the formal society to informal social support for satisfaction that position wanted offer help them to support.According to the conclusions of the research, and combine with the problems which the master graduate have to face when they are seeking jobs, the author try to give some effective suggestions. From the formal society support, firstly, labor and other related departments of the government should give positive instructor. Secondly, the universities and colleges should give the post graduates the train and instructions for their job-seeking; from the informal society support, firstly, the master graduates should adjust the relationship between the social support and the job-seeking behavior, try to gain more the social support; Secondly, the master graduate should enhance their own comprehensive qualities.
