The number of China’s Empty Nester has been increasing year by year, the number of elderly in rural areas occupy a large proportion. The aged become lonely sunset because of the young labors march to big cities in order to seek better development opportunities under the background of urbanization and industrialization. Economic hardship, production pressure, life and emotional loneliness are major problems they are confronted with. As China is dominated by collective ideology with advocating filial piety as well as feedback. Paying close attention to and thinking of a way to offer help and solve the problems of the aged is very important and necessary as facing to the severe population aging in China. It is of considerable importance and has the meaning for maintaining family harmony, the stability and development of the construction of new countryside and even the whole country. The thesis is willing to unfold how the formal support of government and village committee work to drive the thriving informal support between family, society and the aged by exploring the mutual support of individual cases in T village in Anhui Province. The formal support as well as informal one are connecting together to wave a tight relationship network in order to offer a satisfied welfare for old people. In order to offer a variety of social welfare support for the aged, the thesis also analyzes and researches the Yanglao functional pattern of San Fernando City in Los Angeles and describes how the formal support and the informal support connect together, hoping to absorb the advantages about the operation mode about Yanglao in San Fernando City, and then taken use of by localization for our T village within another different cultural background.This paper adopts structured interview and participant observation method, and supplemented by literature analysis. The basic conclusion of the results is that the theory of the official support promote informal support has a remarkable effect when used in the Pension Center in T village. and the theory in another culture under the background of empirical experience can also learn to use. The conclusion offer China’s rural Yanglao a more open train of thought, and provide more excellent initiatives for the improvement of China’s rural Yanglao, eventually to promote the Chinese traditional filial piety and family stability maintenance as well as new countryside construction and the national stability and development.The content of this thesis is mainly about the research for the old-aged care institutions in T Village, some problems that were found in the process of researching the operation mode of the center, the reference that can be extracted through the elaboration of the workings of Carver pension center in the U.S. The creative ideas that can apply to solve the problem of old-aged care institution in T village. The structure of the thesis mainly includes the following five parts:the first part is the introduction, mainly about the origin, the purpose, and the significance of the study. The topic about the second part is about the comparison between China and America in Yanglao. The second part also describe the Pension Center in T village, including the condition of T village and the situation about the Pension Center. This part mainly describe the whole condition,hardware facility, personnel allocation, relevant system of the Pension Center. The third part is about the embodiment and application of the formal support and the informal support in T village pension center as well as in Los Angeles. The forth part is about the problems remained in T village and the countermeasure that learned from American Yanglao mode that can solve problems in T village pension center.
