Organizational commitments of university teachers are the psychological link between teacher and university.It related not only to efficacy and benefit of university, but to whole higher education. To of university the development, the leader's role is pivotal.In the whole paper, we emphasize the relationship between leadership and teachers'organizational commitments.we charge leadership as the most important factor which affect teachers'organizational commitments.So, what was the relationship between leadership and organizational commitments? And, the purpose of this paper was to clarify this question.For this purpose, three researches were employed:Research one,questionnaire research.In this research, measurement scale for leadership compiled myself and university teachers' organizational commitments scale were employed.323 teachers of university take part in this research.The statistic test result showed that there was not significant common method bias in the measurement.By hierarchal regression analysis,research on the effects of leadership on organizational commitments was done,which indicated leadership had significant predictive effects on organizational commitments of university teachers.Research two examined the relationship between leadership and organizational commitments that explored by research one by an experiment.252 teachers of university participated in the study,a 2×2 completely randomized design was employed,and 4 scenarios which consisted of the information on the high/low tasks of leadership,the high/low solicitudes of leadership were used as research materials to analyze the influence of leadership on affective commitment,normative commitment and ideal commitment.The result indicates that leadership can influence affective commitment,normative commitment and ideal commitment.In research three, on the base of research one and research two, reanalyzed the data collected by research on. The result indicated that leadership influenced organizational commitments through psychological empowerment.
