With the increasing deepening of the reform of the management system in higher education, the pattern of one university having several campuses has gradually been formed. The school-running of one university on several campuses has broadened the space in the development of education, made up for the deficiency in teaching resources, increased the inter-collegiate vitality, and therefore made the university more competitive. Teaching management is the major work in university management, and good management is the guarantee for the normal teaching order in the university. As we have entered the 21st century, it is a subject worthy of research among the management personnel to give expression to the human-based spirit in the teaching management of the university having several campuses. Zhejiang Taizhou University can be a case in point, for it is a new local university offering undergraduate programs on three campuses in two places. Taking Zhejiang Taizhou as an example, this paper explores the problem of human-based teaching management in the university having several campuses, and puts forward some effective counter-measures in conducting multiple-campus teaching management.This paper is composed of 4 parts.Part I sets forth the background, status quo, purpose and significance of this research and its methods of research.Part II discusses the scientific connotations of "human-based" management, analyses the characteristics of the university having several campuses on the one hand and the university with only one campus on the other, and compares the differences between them.Part III analyses the information obtained from questionnaires and interviews, and sets forth the major problems in the human-based teaching management in the university having several campuses which are "the deficiency of the human-based consciousness, the deficiency of the human-based environment, and the deficiency of the human-based system."And Part IV puts forward 5 counter-measures in realizing human-based teaching management in the university having several campuses, which include constructing a harmoniously humane campus cultural environment, establishing an equal and congenial footing for the interchange of teachers and students, establishing a practical and reasonable teaching management system, creating a modern digitalized campus in which information can be exchanged, and making perfect the human-based incentive management system.
