The self- awareness of life is the subjective initiative of people who has understood the value and significant of life, take their own lives as the goal, and will be externalize into action. The self- awareness of life is beneficial in the harmonious development of society and in the in-dividual happiness. Therefore, some of the elements of the self- awareness of life to be respected since ancient times: in Ancient Greece and Rome there was characteristics concerned about their own'oneself, and in China feudal society, there was characteristics of Confucians'sageliness within and king line's without, and so on. Today, our country is in the society-transitional era, various ideas and values intertwined and affected with the people in the survival and develop-ment. So the significant and value of life in varying degrees, has been weakened. Therefore, the self-awareness of life in the new era appears to be particularly important.The self- awareness of life was not one day for work, but must be fostering five aspects from the life: self-consciousness; consciousness of caring about life; consciousness of exciting life; consciousness of life-autonomy; consciousness of surpassing life. The five consciousness which constitute a modern man's self-awareness of life work for the significant and development of life. (1) Among these consciousness, the self- consciousness which can differentiate I from self, he, nature and universes must be the first importance, so that it will be able to sense his own life as the target for concern, reflection, balance, choice, and other ideological activities. (2) Ac-cessing to the self- awareness of life, a fundamental goal is to love life, because life is all life ac-tivities'ontology, all life activities are based on it can be established. (3) The second objective of self- awareness of life is to excite the life; simultaneously the life of energy can be fully released and showed a variety of styles as far as possible. (4) Exciting life, it also needs the consciousness of life-autonomy. Otherwise, life would lead to disorder and self-destruct. (5) The life developed to be self-exciting and self-discipline, it will naturally self-denial and self-surpassing, and ac-cesses to the spiritual realm to the highest consciousness.But, at present, Chinese primary school students'self-awareness of life on school life has the following deficiencies: (1) the self-consciousness is narrowed to be the self-centered aware-ness. (2) The consciousness of caring about life is weak. (3) The consciousness of exciting life often reflects in the form of non-rational. (4) The consciousness of life-autonomy is difficult to be externalized into action. (5) The consciousness of self-surpassing is in the bud. It is mainly due to Chinese current primary schools'goal of life is weight with score and light with education. It hampered the students'consciousness from forming, and the students'consciousness of self-surpassing development is limited, too. The style of weighting heteronomy and lighting self-discipline makes the consciousness of self-discipline weak, and curb their consciousness of exciting life. The management of dual evaluation standard of school living distorted students'personality limited the life of self-awareness of their own development.Therefore, to make the self-awareness of life of primary school students'develop smoothly, it is necessary t to reform the school life, it is also the way that ensures the primary school stu-dents to form the self-awareness feasibly.First of all, we should take education for life as a prerequisite in school life, so that the school of life for primary school students is full of humanity. Among them, for advocating mu-tual supporting atmosphere, forming a mutual understanding atmosphere, and establishing the democratic order, are the keys for humanized school life.Second, launching the school life of self-cultivation is the main channel for student to form the self-awareness. First, adding reflection of lifestyle, so that students realize how to reflect their school life in the day-to-day, and have a habit about it. Secondly, to enable students to de-velop a habit about satisfied own for all, to reduce the sense of setbacks for students and live with a positive attitude. Thirdly, creating the life atmosphere of self-restraint for students and the teachers set an example first then tell students clearly about the importance and the method of self-restraint. Fourth, to develop consciousness of helping other people who is in need is aimed to help them happy.
