As the wave of knowledge economy swept through the world, knowledge shares a growing component during the progress in social production, teachers play a more and more important role in this historical process. In this background, the expectations and demands of the teachers become even more than in the past. Teachers'high working pressure may bring on the decline of the education quality, and the decline of the education quality is likely to cause a domino effect. Burnout, as a consequence of the working pressure, appears in the group of teachers increasingly and frequently. But with the sharp contrast, study on teachers'work pressure and job burnout is rare in our country, and study on teachers of higher vocational and technical college is even more rare. This paper aims to study the institutions of teachers'work pressure, job satisfaction and burnout in higher vocational and technical institutions, to research the basic relationship of work pressure, job satisfaction and the burnout. The study puts out questionnaires in 5 higher vocational and technical colleges in Suzhou, and uses the descriptive analysis, correlative analysis and regression analysis and other statistical methods for data processing. Draw conclusions through analysis and discussion and bring forward some specific recommendations and countermeasures. We can draw conclusion through this study that the work pressure level is just so so, the job satisfaction is in medium level, but the burnout level is high in the teachers of higher vocational institutions. The individual feeling of success is maximal and the mood failure is the lightest for the teachers who have been teachers for 11 to 20 years; and high strength work pressure will cause higher burnout. The work satisfaction is lower with the higher work pressure. We should extract suggestion and countermeasure for setting up the social image of the higher vocational institutions, improving the teachers'payment and social position, enriching the teachers'work content, from three factors such as society, school and person.
