| Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)puts forward that arithmetic ability is one of the core mathematical qualities in junior middle school.To cultivate students’ computing ability,students should be guided to master the correct calculation method,be able to correctly use mathematical laws and operational laws,understand the underlying theory,and solve problems in real life.The seventh grade to learn rational numbers and their operations,integral formula and its addition and subtraction operations,the solution and application of the equation of one variable,this period is the key period to cultivate the ability to calculate,lay a good foundation for calculation.Mathematical operation ability has an important influence on mathematics learning and is positively correlated with mathematics achievement.This highlights the importance and necessity of improving students’ mathematical ability at this crucial stage of grade 7.This study takes students in Grade 7 of Y Middle School in a league field of the Sixth Normal School as the research object.Through literature review,we can understand the relevant contents of current domestic and foreign arithmetic ability,understand students’ attitude and habits of mathematical operation through questionnaires,and evaluate the true level of students’ arithmetic ability through test questions.Through interviews from the perspective of teachers,this thesis objectively analyzes and evaluates the problems existing in students’ learning of mathematical operations.This thesis divides students’ computing ability into five levels.According to the survey results,20.55%students reach level 1,21.92% students reach level 2,39.73% students reach level 3,17.81% students reach level 4,and no students reach level 0.Generally speaking,students’ mathematical operation ability level is low.The main reasons for the low are:(1)ideological attention to the operation problem: the problem is not carefully;Miscopy numbers,letters,or operating symbols;(2)Lack of good arithmetic habits: attitude towards arithmetic problems is not correct;Checking habits are not good;The writing procedure is not standard;(3)Confusion of mathematical knowledge points: weak awareness of operation symbols;Not proficient in definition,algorithm,formula and operation law;Confused thinking and bad problem-solving strategies;Encounter complex problems will be timid,the amount of the general assembly to give up;(4)Outdated teaching concepts of some teachers: single teaching form of computing;Not enough attention to arithmetic teaching;(5)Excessive use of electronic products: dependence and fear of difficulties;Teachers can’t find problems in time.In order to solve the above problems,the author puts forward the cultivation strategies to improve the mathematical ability of seventh grade students:(1)Cultivate students’ interest in mathematics: create real problem situation,let students feel that learning is useful;Improve students’ participation in class,mobilize subjective initiative;(2)Strengthen the cultivation of the habit of mathematical operation: cultivate the ability of examining questions and develop the habit of examining questions seriously;Play a guiding role,develop good checking habits;Pay attention to "error Treasury",develop the habit of correcting errors;(3)Pay attention to the explanation of concepts,calculations and algorithms: pay attention to the clarity of concepts;Strengthen the explanation of calculation and algorithm;(4)Tracking students’ mastery of knowledge: help them in groups and practice every day;Tracking students with fragmented time;(5)Use after-school service time for hierarchical tutoring.Finally,combined with the training strategy,the teaching design of "Solving the Equation of One variable(2)" and "Rational Number" is given,hoping to provide teachers with specific teaching strategies and methods in the future teaching of mathematical operation,and enrich the teaching research theory on improving the mathematical operation ability of grade seven. |
