As a result of a social transformation in China, numerous thorny problems follow the dramatic development of the urbanization. The education of the migrant children is one of problems; however, their culture acculturation also deserves our full attention. Culture acculturation means the process of getting used to a new culture or different culture. To the migrant people, culture acculturation is a crucial issue, especially for the migrant children on development.In these years, many scholars keep their eyes on the education of migrant children. However, most of these researches just focus on the enrollment of these children. For my opinion, with the carry-out of relative policy, this problem has actually been solved. In Shanghai, because of the characteristics of increase of population, more and more migrant children can be enrolled in the public school. However, the great differences between their hometown culture and shanghai culture make them have to face many thorny problems. In these circumstances, it is necessary and important for us to promote their culture acculturation, which tightly associates with these children' development.This thesis uses the way of combining theory with practice, chooses a school that enrolls the migrant children in Pudong district in Shanghai as the subject. First, this thesis state the theory of culture acculturation and the existing research result, then emphasize the importance of culture acculturation of the migrant children. Second, this thesis choose "social identification", "language acculturation", "norm of behavior", "study acculturation" as the four aspects of culture acculturation of the migrant children. Based on the theory of these four aspects, the research also use the way of interview and questionnaires to carry out the study. At the last, the thesis comes up with the strategies to improve the culture acculturation of the migrant children. On my opinion, in the communication between urban citizens and migrant citizens, the urban citizens are not mean to discriminate the migrant people. The human-centralism is the major causes of the discrimination; to avoid this issues need the people to change their value. The key of the culture is the value, which directly effects people's way of thinking and action. Nevertheless, change of the value is the most difficult one, so promoting culture acculturation of migrant children could not accomplish in an action, it is a gradually process, which need the involvement of principles, teachers, urban students and parents, migrant children and their parents.
