Comparative Study Of Curriculum Of Traditional National Physical Education In Ten Colleges And Unversities

The development of traditional national physical education specialty in universities is still at the initial stage.At present,there exist some imperfections at the training target,training ways and specialty curriculum for traditional national physical education specialty.The paper made a comparative study of curriculum of traditional national physical education in ten colleges and unversities,using the method of telephone interview and questionnaire for teachers and students of physical education. Some analyses have been made on characteristics and problem of curriculum of traditional national physical education in ten colleges and unversities,around the actual conditions of training target,specialty curriculum,student enrollment and employment,athletic site and teaching staff.As a result,some suggestions are made on curriculum of traditional national physical education from the social requirement, providing references for physical education curriculum of colleges and unversities.The suggestions are followed:(1)The establishment of training target is considered from four aspects of mastering knowledge of other subjects,improving professional knowledge and skill level,enhancing practical ability and scientific research ability,and improving creative ability and competitive ability.(2)The students will possess solid knowledge of professional theory and all-round professional skills with the proper decrease of the propotion of theoretical courses and the increase of the propotion of technique courses.And the ability and personality of students will be fully developed,if some little courses with practicality are set.(3)It is necessary to change the status of unitary technique of in-service teachers and to increase the training opportunities of teachers for the culture of comprehensive quality and technical ability of students.(4)The pertinent selection of teaching materials is necessary for the comprehensive quality and technical ability students.(5)It is necessary to strengthen the management of colleges and unversities to curriculum of traditional national physical education,giving preference to the traditional national physical education on the aspects of teaching staff and funds during the policy-making and school-running.(6)Great Attention should be paid to the weakness of English course teaching.For the improvement of student Engish,it is nessary to establish a set of English textbooks in accordance with students' level.(7)It is nessary to enhance the teaching practice of students,using the methods of concentrative practice,scattered practice and mixed-up practice according to students' employment orientation.And conditions of students' employment are created as possible.
