Helping the students to understand the nature of science has become the leading current of the World Science Education. These years, many researchers have pointed that melting the history of science into the science education play an important role to the education of the nature of science. Science textbooks, the main vector for science curriculum, how to melt it into the history of science, has aroused positive international concern about the science education reform. In our country, the new round science curriculum reform has proposed to improve the students' understanding of the nature of science, and has pointed that the scientific history's importance. So, new science textbooks have to reflect this new idea. This study chooses junior science textbooks and analyzes the content of history of science in them. So, we can find some problems and provide references.Through study, it is found that the science culture got the most attention in the content of history of science in the textbooks. In the aspect of science knowledge, the history of science talks more about its relativity than its creativity; in the aspect of science process, the history of science relates more about its empirical sides than its objectivity; in the aspect of science culture, its pays more attention about social sides than its moral sides. From the showing ways, task-design, and function of the science history, we know that though its contents have been more improved, there are still some problems. For example, some part of the task-design for science history is weak. In order to play its (the history of science) important role to the nature of science, we should not only increase the content of history of science in the textbooks, but also the columns-setting for some science history, especially those task-designs, which can reflect the nature of science.
