Since the 1980s, education theorists in our country pay more attention on cooperative learning, and many teachers use cooperative learning in their class. Massive research shows: cooperative learning helps to overcome the flaw of traditional class and grade teaching system, inspire students'study interest in different levels, build up study motive, improve study efficiency, reform study ethos, and cultivate students'self-awareness, collaboration- awareness, communication-ability.Improvement in Multi-dimensional communication is the basic aim of cooperative learning, and a significant condition of cooperative learning. So using cooperative learning in the class which students come from different places could help to improve teaching quality, students'achievement and overall quality.Based on the above suppositions, this research chooses a poor-base school which students come from different places and transfers frequently as a case. This paper wants to find answer on the subject of plane geometry, there are some reasons: firstly, new curriculum reform emphasizes the relation between geometry contents and reality. Secondly, new teaching idea emphasizes to make students experience the course of observing, operating, reasoning and proving. Thirdly, geometry emphasizes understanding on how to prove. Cooperative learning has advantage in those aspects. Based on specific situation of students, this study establishes scheme on different kinds of lesson and set up the cooperation study group according to principle .Through one year experiment observation, we summarize the research conclusion by exam, survey and interview. The conclusion is: cooperative learning can improve interpersonal relationship between schoolmates, change the class study atmosphere, strengthen the mathematics study interest, enhance mathematics result, and promote geometry study motive and individual quality.The importance of this paper is to study the function and value of cooperative learning in a poor-base school which students come from different places. At the same time, based on this case, this paper discusses some academic issues: such as classroom localization of cooperative learning, the relationship between cooperative learning and teaching in class, the frame of teaching material of cooperative learning and so on.. The final purpose is to further rich cooperative-learning's study.
