In 2003, the Ministry of Education promulgated the Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Senior High School, in which mathematics curriculum of high school would be set as"compulsory and elective"models, and"Algorithm Preliminaries"was added in the compulsory curriculum module 3. Since 2003, in order to adapt to the curriculum innovation, the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Guizhou Normal University, leading by Professor Xiang, developed School-Based Curriculum in Normal University"Studies on Mathematics Elective Courses of Senior High School", and compiled the School-Based teaching materials in Normal University which included the"Algorithm Preliminaries"subject.This paper aims at the experimental researches on the School-Based teaching materials"Algorithm Preliminaries"subject. The concerning research methods are questionnaire investigation, literature analysis, observation, case study and interview. The main research work is as follows.(1) Collecting and arranging the literature information. This paper ranged from the development of algorithm in mathematics history, the target and contents change of mathematics curriculum in senior high school to the study of necessity and importance of the"Algorithm Preliminaries"coming into the senior high school mathematics curriculum.(2) Compiling the School-Based teaching materials"Algorithm Preliminaries"subject in Normal University. The author took part in the team of the School-Based Curriculum"Selecting Subjects on Elective Series of Senior High School Mathematics"since June, 2005 and was responsible for the content compiling, modifying and the making of the multimedia courseware.(3) Developing the teaching experimental research of the"Algorithm Preliminaries"subject.â‘ Making the reasonable target and research procedure of the teaching experiment. The teaching experiment began from June 2005, and finished within 4 stages: preparing stage, preliminary study stage, further study stage and extension study stage.â‘¡Sending 331 questionnaire investigations to some grades in Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Education College such as 03 or 04 grades, also taking 4 runs classroom teaching experiments in 6 classes.â‘¢Research shows the expected effects: the School-Based teaching materials"Algorithm Preliminaries"subject meets the requirements on the Standard and the cognitive rules of the students in normal university. The flexible change of teaching methods and practical situations design are suitable to the combined various evaluation modes.(4) Remain questionsThis research also needs to enrich the theory basis, enlarge the scale of the teaching experimental study, and deeply investigate the connection between the algorithms and other subjects.
