The eighth curriculum reformation has been put into practice for ten years.Learning mathematics has been changed from periods learning to module learning,which is divided into two parts, required courses and the selected courses. TheCurriculum Standard Test of Ordinary High School (In the following,"The Standard"represents it.)"algorithm preliminary" as a new content has been listed in math3,module5, on the compulsory course. However, through the literature review, andaccording to the analysis of research questionnaires, it can’t be happy that the mathteachers who are from the modern high school have little knowledge aboutalgorithms and the algorithms of the relevant teaching methods. And students’acceptability did not achieve the standards. The further research is as follows:1. Jilin province implemented new curriculum reform for nearly5years. Thequality of middle school teachers on algorithm teaching is not high, so teachersneed to further strengthen their ability.2. Most of the teachers, who give the lessons to the students did not hear aboutthe algorithm teaching. They did not learn it, and need more time to prepare and tostudy it. And they should start from Chinese traditional mathematics teaching cases;3. Students learn mathematics only for the tests, program designs, drawdiagram. Even though, there is only a few students can master it.4, Teachers lack of communications with the students, and they did not form amodal of teaching standards.Therefore, we can see that there’s no successful teaching experience can beconsulted in the algorithm teaching, after the new curriculum reform appears. So,this article analyzes the data, which gets from the research. And it’s to discuss theteaching methods and the knowledge acquirement of the teachers. It is hoped thathelp can be offered to teachers and students.In this paper, the middle school mathematics teaching methods and thealgorithm knowledge will be discussed in the following:1. According to High School Curriculum Standard, the comparison between thecontent in version A of the required3and the content in the math books fromdifferent countries. After reading relevant literatures, and analysis and references forteaching of advanced the concept of algorithm, this paper discusses the high school mathematics teaching method, the algorithm ideas, and content and value.2, Using the form of questionnaire survey learn the understanding of theknowledge of the algorithm about teachers and students. Suggestions will be given.Finally, this paper will give the disadvantages and the prospects of the study.
