Higher Education press 2005 Edition School Physical Education teaching material presents a phenomenon of physical education to become independent, which arouses physical education field widespread concern. Author initial understanding of this phenomenon is that school physical education teaching material must contain a summary of the contents. In addition, author conduct the reflection of our own understanding, it can be said that the phenomenon is once again understood. First, it pursues the nature of relationship between sports courses and physical education, that is, it is no longer a linear process, in which sports courses regulate the contents and physical education carries out the contents; however, it is an existence state of mutual infiltration and cross-cutting. People are also shifting from the argument about which is more important to the thinking of why the two exist like this. Second, it pursues the development of teaching material's contents of school physical education. Although we have put forward the development description of life, disciplines, and practice, at the same time, we have to break through boundaries, that is, take into consideration the change of present situation, otherwise it will lead to a certain extreme. Author believes that it is a trend to establish some relatively small independent subject, still we must take the reality into consideration, since it is the foundation. Hence it is not a favorable strategy to separate sports courses and physical education. Besides, understanding of the present phenomenon in 2005 School Physical Education combine with teaching practice, especially get in touch with undergraduate students'practical ability, which ensures students to acquire and then apply knowledge. Because in students'eyes,'useful'is most important, and useful means to be closer to practice. So the publish of School Physical Education teaching material is in a dilemma, should it be inclined to theory or practice, or even to the integration of the two? Actually, inclination of teaching material will be in consistent with the orientation of the subject nature of School Physical Education. However, it is still ambiguous of orientation of School Physical Education's subject nature in sports field. So the understanding of the present phenomenon in 2005 edition School Physical Education is not to evaluate the teaching material, but explain this phenomenon to a large extent.
