According to the characteristics of the material medium, we select the two kinds of materials from the image age medium:paper picture books and electronic picture books, as the representativeness of the test material for children to understand story.Paper picture books is the product of the print age, which adopt traditional books process with sweet picture designed elegantly, replace the words with pictures, tell the story for children, emphasize individual independence when reading picture books, give full consideration to the children’s early reading, from the perspective of visual appreciation for children to see, to touch; Electronic picture books is the symbol of the digital age, which use modern multimedia technology to make the story into a complete video, presented in front of children as the "electricity" and projection equipment as the carrier, with the image, text, sound, music and other media ingeniously combining with the characteristics of integration, provide multi-sensory channels for children to see, hear, feel the story of the experience.Children’s early reading not only affected by the way of reading, but also have a direct contact with the material and subject, this material medium in the children’s story understanding more and more important, therefore, it is especially important for educators to define and choose suitable reading materials to help children to understand.The study of early reading survey activities using the most common reading object-literariness as research materials,96 children in JG kindergarten as research subjects, the inventory is borrowed from ZhaiHaiQi who made in 2011 to carry on the survey. Up to now, we have conducted three times survey activities,96 copies of survey data, among them, the pre-research including 24 children, the first try including 36 children, the formal survey including 36 children, trying to find the impact of story by this material medium intervention.The date shows that, the effect between paper picture books and electronic picture books is significant when to understand the story in the same way, the sex of children have no significant difference on children to understand. The reason is that there have significant in dielectric properties, primary presentation of forms, content, use-cost in tow kinds of different books.Through the analysis of the picture books of different material medium test about the children’s understanding, the conclusion is that dielectric properties and presentation can affect children’s story understanding level, alternate use of dynamic and static picture books can help children understand story, including, the first, combined with using paper picture books and electronic picture books can promote children’s story understanding, including the visual information, audio-visual integration information and audio-visual information inference; The second, the level of visual information is the most stable in the picture books of different material medium test, the second is based on the visual and auditory information inference, the last is the integration of audio and visual information; The third, the sex of children have no significant influence on children’s story comprehension.According to research conclusion, we will analysis from material medium and children’s gender. First, material medium can affect children’s story comprehension, compared with previous research conclusion (Strategic reading>Listen to read>natural reading), listen to read>natural reading is also our test results, among them, children understand the print and electronic picture books better than understand electronic picture books, and better than picture books in the type of listen to read; It’s the same as the natural reading, which is in accordance with children’s learning characters of five senses. Second, by discussing about children’s media experience and mediated interaction, we think that when the media work interaction with people, individual will react on the medium itself, in the same way, when the children interact with draw this material medium, the level of children’s story comprehension do not necessarily affected by the medium of gender, namely, children’s gender does not necessarily understand level can affect its success story. So the sex of children is difficult to understand affect children’s story comprehension under the action of the medium and under the effect of medium of children’s own experience.At last, we put forward the proposal about the media enlightenment in early childhood, cover families and kindergarten. When we’re in our family, we should create a warm, safe, close atmosphere, update education view about medium and recognize the power of children, attaches great importance to the paper reading and cultivate children’s reading habits, participate in the process of children’s audio and visual process; When we’re in kindergarten, we could communicate with their parents to know the status of media contact of children at home, mainly on paper draw this story and auxiliary for electronic picture books, have a simulation of the Internet in kindergarten carry out discussion about paper picture books and electronic picture books regularly.
