Understanding education is eliminating misreading, and improves understanding, thus makes teacher and student better understand oneself and other and gains the better development. It is an additional education thought and a series of tactics for present age system education. Understanding education stress the spirit of" understanding " , raising moral standard of the occupation of teacher and education ability, in order to find the new development road of teacher. Understanding education concerns the underachievers. Its objective is eliminating these misunderstandings which lead to underachieve, such as family misunderstanding, society misreading, educational misreading, and urgethe underachievers advancing together with other students. This kind ofeducational model is an effective model to educate the underachievers. Itprovides a new educational method for vocational middle school.English teaching effect of the new student of vocational middle schoolhas the utmost importance effect for them. Only a good start can realizethe teaching objective smoothly. Students can master the skills oflistening, speaking, reading and writing of English in three years. Butmost new students are underachievers of junior middle school Englishstudy. Teaching effect is not ideal continuously.This experiment applied concept and the tactics of understand educationto the new students' English teaching of vocational middle school. Toexplore whether or not the education model can promote English teachingof vocational middle school. Then exploring a feasible method to educatethe underachievers.The education experiment research method is adopted in the experiment.It has three stages: setout in earlier stage, puts into effect and analyzeresult.The research object of experiment has been investigated to find out thesefour characteristics: their parents' influence in their English study,English study purpose, study confidence and study method. Thenaccording to the different characteristics of term's different phase,adopted 11 kinds of the educational tactics in English teaching.By way of the data analysis of the experiment, we can know that theEnglish result of the experiment group is better than the controllinggroup.The experiment proves understanding education can promote Englishteaching of vocational middle school. And it can promote the study andlife quality of students.
