| Education is a key factor for a country′s future development, and teachers are the key factor for education′s further development. The intense competition among great nations nowadays is talent competition in fact, which has resulted to the intense competition for the education demands of high quality. It is a strategic requirement for all the nations to give priority to teacher education and to build a high-quality teacher force. The County Teacher Training School(CTTS for short) is an important part in the teacher education system in China. As a matter of fact, it was once a constitutive property compensatory education under the planned economy system, in order to make up for the shortage of teachers and promote teacher's quality. It has played an un-replaceable role for a long period in China for the improvement of rural education. However, along with elementary education′s popularization and the completion of the qualification standard education for the rural teachers, the necessity of its reservation is becoming lower and lower day by day. There are many reasons to it, such as the lower education standard , poorer professional quality, which are all unfit for the demands of the rural teachers′further education during the new period. Thus ,CTTS has come to an end after its brilliance. And it is now facing great challenges and choices at every aspect, such as school system, school pattern and school conditions.The development trend of teachers′further education shows that the specialization of teachers′training is the basic premise of teacher professional development. It is an important media for us to set up a three-dimensional learning organization for rural teachers′training. Strengthening the ability and sense of service and becoming rural teachers′partners is the future development trend of CTTS. It is a common sense of effective rural teacher training for CCTS to make all the rural teachers become active explorers. How to improve its own fuction and where to go in the future are two important research topics.This paper is based on the history development of the CTTS in County D. Before the beginning of it, the researcher has referred to lots of reference books, such as education, sociology, anthropology and so on. Interviews ,comparison ,questionnaire and other research means have been used during the process of it. Analysis and research of CTTS′function attenuation in County D are the cores in this paper. Meanwhile, the research also analyses the difficulties and troubles it is now facing with, and gives some relative explanation to the reasons caused all the difficulties above. In the end of the paper, some scientific and practicable measures and suggestions are given to deal with all the questions. This paper is made up of four parts:Part One is about CTTS′s history in County D, through which readers can have a brief understanding of the conditions during different stages of its development.Part Two is about the all-around study and research on the base of County D, in order to explore the difficulties troubling its future development.In Part Three, CTTS′function attenuation in County D is mainly referred to in different aspects, and some important reasons resulted to it are also given .In Part Four, some effective and practicable measures and suggestions to deal with all the difficulties are mentioned, in order to make CTTS in County D have a brilliant future, based on the real fact of County D and some useful foreign experience and measures. |
