The curriculum reform reflects the requirements of cultivating qualified personnel in 21st century, and its clear-cut fundamental purpose is to cultivate the scientific literacy of students. Curriculum is the protection of achieving the purpose of education, and teaching materials is an important basis and load of curriculum. As the materializing stuff of teaching objectives, materials achieve the teaching objectives through the interaction of teachers, students and materials in teaching process. Thus, the research on materials is the core of curriculum studies.Constructivist theory which regards cultivating scientific literacy as its goal and provides one kind of theoretical explanation for China's new round of the chemistry curriculum reform. It is a prism with many faces, every face reflects the splendid and profound light and is one part of a whole. So, there is certain theoretical and practical significance to make an exhaustive study on textbook of chemistry from the perspective of constructivism. This paper emphatically analyses the content and the appearing way in the chemistry experimental textbooks of high school course from the perspective of constructivism, which were published by People's Education Press. The paper includes five parts:The first part is prefacee, it analyses the necessity of researching on the chemistry textbooks in high school from constructivism perspective. The second part is the discussion about constructivism theory, including the course of the development of constructivism, the basic idea (knowledge Concept, learning concept, teaching view, teachers and students view) and the principle of courses. The third part analyses the goals and content of the Chemistry Curriculum Standards in high school using the viewpoint of constructivism. The fourth part is the core of this thesis. First of all, it gives an overall analysis about the idea of "the Curriculum Standards Experimental textbooks Chemistry" and materials, then discusses the contents of system and the construction of ideology of the " Chemistry 1" and the " Chemistry 2"which are compulsory modules, the "Chemistry and Life", the "Chemistry and Technology", the "Physical Structure and Nature" ,the "Chemical Reaction Principle", the "Organic Basis" and the "Chemistry Experiment" which are optional modules. The last part focuses on the practical application based on the analysis about the textbooks of constructivism and proposed constructivist teaching view. Then discusses about the constructivist teaching design such as Scaffolding Instruction, Anchored Instruction, Random Access Instruction through actual cases .At last, this thesis gives some suggestions about the preparation of teaching materials and the practice.
