When entering into the 21st century, the society has set up new demands of the talented. Cultivating the innovative talents with high quality has become the primary goal of education reform. Basic education has been transforming from the exam-oriented education to quality education, and the center of education has shifted from teachers to learners. This series of changes promote the changes in teaching methods. Instructional design (ID), as the linking bridge between learning theory, teaching theory and practice of teaching, will inevitably leads to fundamental reform in educational thinking, concepts and theories, and even the education system.Instructional design is based on the dissemination theory, learning theory and teaching theory. It uses the viewpoints and methods of the system theory, analyzes the problems and needs in the teaching process based on the analysis of learning needs, and proposes the best solution to solve the problem, thus achieving the best teaching results of decision-making process by system.The process of Instructional design is based on some theoretical basis. It is a complex and complicated systems engineering. In 1980's, some experts of instructional design, aiming at reducing the complex process of instructional design, has put forward the idea of ID automation, and has make valuable exploration in this regard. They have designed various kinds of ID automation tools to help teachers in instructional design, and this has initiated some transformation in the field of ID. China has also made active explorations in ID automation tools, but they are mainly theoretical research, and there is still a lack of such tools which teacher could actually use in their instruction.Based on the current research on ID automation tool both at home and abroad, the paper has confirmed that an intelligent generating tool of customized instructional design consists of the following functioning modules: module of instructional structure flow chart mapping, module of learning style testing and module of classroom instruction. It is hoped that this tool could simplify and standardize teachers' instructional designing process, and provide a platform to put instructional design theory into popular use in real instructional settings.
