With the development of the new curriculum reform in our country, improving the teacher quality and the specialized standard has already become the key aspect related to the success or failure of the new curriculum reform. Therefore, researchers have attached more and more importance to the issue of teachers' specialized development. The auther found that those existing researches concerning teachers' specialized development which pay more attention to "the class" but look down upon "the source" , think much of "community" but malce light of "individual" .However, the researches of pre-occupation teachers and the teachers' specialized development from the viewpoint of individual are still insufficient. Choosing profession motive is an inner and mental process or motivation inspired by various needs, which malcing individual choose the teacher occupation and keeping the decision until fulfill the goal. The choosing profession motive not only malces the individual will or not choose the teacher occupation, but also reflect the individual' s self-identity and evaluation to the teacher occupation. To some extent, it indicates the teachers' passion and the aspiration of improving themselves specialized development after entering the occupation. The purpose of this study is to find out the situation of working teachers' choosing profession motive in the existing urban middle schools according to investigations. The main method of this study is questionnaire, interviews are assistant, selecting some teachers from ChangSha key,normal and managed middle schools of HuNan Province by random sampling' s way and analysis the results of the investigations according to statistics software. The results reveals that the acuality of working teachers' choosing profession motive of ChangSha city, HuNan Province is on the low side. The author analysis and elucidate reasons for the result combining those existing academic achievements. At the same time, the author compare and explain the diversity fo choosing profession motive on various background. Finally, the author puts forward some concrete propals which are improving the choosing profession motive of teacher from teacher individual and the external environment.
