Study On The Certain Influences On Group Cohesiveness Among High-level College Soccer Teams In Shanghai

Group cohesiveness has irreplaceable influence on teamwork and collective efficiency, which is also important symbol for team chemistry. The major roles that group cohesiveness plays on daily training and matches can be listed as: (1)Group cohesiveness is main guarantee to achieve pre-set goals for a team. (2) Group cohesiveness is prerequisite for a team to bring its strength into full play. Generally speaking, the closer the mindset among players and coaches can be, the warmer a team relation could be and the better collective teamwork and spirit would be. It also helps to combine individual energy to a team effort, which guarantees a good even better team performance.(3)Group cohesiveness plays major roles to improve effectiveness for a team. There is no game or training can be successful without smooth teamwork and sound team chemistry. Group cohesiveness helps to diminish the problems inside a team. It also builds a better sense of responsibility of the coaches and the players in order to enhance team effectiveness. (4) Group cohesiveness provides stimulation to the development of a player. A strong sense of group cohesiveness not only strengthens the bond but also the cooperation between team and players as well as the players, themselves, which is conducive to arousing a team spirit and exploding the potential.So the study would research the problems about group cohesiveness, by paper research, conversation with experts, mathematics and statistics, questionnaire. Author categorized the sports event into interactive event and conspiratorial event, and choosed the soccer project which one of the interactive events to research on group cohesiveness. The study was in order to investigate the group cohesiveness among 4 High-level college soccer teams in Shanghai.115 male players of the soccer teams participated in the study examining group cohesiveness, perceived leadership behavior, athlete role involvement and team training satisfaction. Regression Analysis and other statistics methods were used. To study the mechanism of group cohesiveness mediating the relationship between leadership behavior, role involvement, team training satisfaction and athlete individual performance was useful to make the interference scheme of High-level college soccer teams in Shanghai, provide the theoretical and practical factors for the study of group cohesiveness, accelerate the application of group cohesiveness.The conclusions can be summarized as follows:Firstly, the 4 versions of Group Environment questionnaire, Leadership Scale for Sports, Role Involvement and Team Training Satisfaction were used by explored the reliability and validity analysis.Secondly, athletes perceived leadership behavior and role involvement were the major predictors of group cohesiveness. Athletes perceived training and instruction behavior and role clarity could predict group cohesiveness.Thirdly, group cohesiveness was the major predictor of team training satisfaction.Fourthly, group cohesiveness mediated the relationship between leadership behavior, role involvement and team training satisfaction.Fifthly, group cohesiveness could not mediate the relationship between leadership behavior, role involvement and athlete individual performance.
