The research samples are the five general schools in shanghai. Through the four research methods, that is questionnaire, interview, class observation and literature analysis, we got the primary actuality of Bilingual Geography Teaching in shanghai. The try of bilingual geography teaching has gotten some achievement, but the subject object of bilingual geography teaching can not be achieved because of different reasons, this causes "subject damnification". In this dissertation we'll put forward to the strategies to "subject damnification".This paper consists of 5 parts:The 1st chapter mainly expatiates on research significance, research background, research technique of the paper and some other relative concepts of "subject damnification".The 2nd chapter deals with the survey of the actuality of bilingual geography teaching. The main research method is questionnaire, consisting of the questionnaire for students and the questionnaire for geography teachers.The 3rd chapter deals with the reasons of "subject damnification" in bilingual geography teaching. In this part, three aspects will be involved, that is the school leaders, the geography teachers and the students.Under the 3rd chapter, some strategies to "subject damnification" in bilingual geography teaching will be put forward to in the 4th chapter. The first strategy is aimed to school leadings, with the two points of the train for bilingual geography teachers and of the in-class type for bilingual geography teaching. The second strategy is how to achieve the subject object of bilingual geography teaching. The third strategy is how to choose the teaching materials in English textbooks for bilingual geography teaching.The 5th chapter deals with further study of the paper.
