Bilingual teaching is a common phenomenon about society and culture, which exists in the countries and regions with many nationalities and different languages. At present, it is all agreed that we should carry on bilingual teaching in the countries and regions with only one language. And the research into bilingual teaching has become a field which attracts the attention from most researchers of many subjects in the international academic field, with the increase of researching references and development of researching level. In China, the bilingual teaching of a non-English subject is aiming at the shortcomings of English teaching and to cultivate students' English ability. In the past few years, as our governments pay more attention to bilingual teaching, more schools have been opening this kind of classes. Bilingual teaching is helpful in improving the students' English ability, in improving teachers' all-sided abilities, and in forming the schools' features. But after all, bilingual teaching is a brand new subject for our country, so there are plenty of problems, whether theoretically or practically, which needs our further study.According to several years of geography bilingual teaching practice, checking a great deal of cultural heritage data combining, making deep into studying. The author analyzes the theories and practice applying to the basic theories of geography bilingual teaching. After analyzing the connotation of bilingual teaching, the development of it at home and abroad, and the purpose, value and theoretical basis of it, the paper states theoretically and practically the geography bilingual teaching in the following aspects: first, the five steps of bilingual teaching;second, coming up with four classroom teaching modals;third, offering several modals of geography bilingual teaching on how to make the students immerse in and giving comments and analysis on them;fourth, finding out the problems in the course of geography bilingual teaching and putting forward solutions to them. Those are the creativities of the paper. The paper mainly adopts a cultural heritage method, practices method and investigates method etc., hope this topic studies can promote the development of. the geography bilingual teaching.
