The Case Study On The Management Organization And Regulations Establishment Of Postgraduate Education

With the development of scale in graduate education, many colleges, universities and research institute begins to employ graduate education, and culture higher grade talents. These schools, which acquired the authorization qualification for Master's degree in recent years, are almost undergraduate school, and have a short development period. Undergraduate education has a dominant proportion in these schools. So, they would subject unavoidably to some encounters of reforms in education management system during the course of graduate education. Some problems must be solved, such as the transformation from undergraduate education to graduate education, the establishment of suitable management organization and system. In this paper, the management organization and system in Zhejiang H University (acquired the authorization qualification for Master's degree in 2005) is studied. Some problems in graduate education are discussed. Based on the reality condition of school, the way of graduate education development, including management organization, management system and operation regime, are researched. It is expected that some effective reform suggestions and management measures can be offered by these work. The whole dissertation includes four parts as below:First part is introduction, firstly, generally giving the cause and meaning of the topic, presenting the condition of study, relevant reviews, secondly, providing some attitudes and problems to solve, lastly, simply introducing research object, content and technique.Part two consists of investigation research and analysis. Some colleges or universities, which have similar experience of graduate education development as Zhejiang H University, are selected to study. Author does analysis and comparison the experiences and achievements in management organization, management system and management regulations from the development of the history and present condition of these school, and some investigation documents about these school is provide.Part three is to carry out the exploratory research for graduate education in Zhejiang H University. It is introduces the experience for acquiring the authorization qualification for Master's degree, and illustrates the present condition of management organizations and regulations. Based on the reality development and location merits, some reality problems for graduate education are discussed theoretically. One way, author analysis detailed present problem about management organizations, namely management structure, management personnel assignment and operation system, and offers some countermeasures. On the other way, aiming at the management rules and regulations, some reform suggestion on development project, discipline and degree authorization construction, course organization, graduate cultivation, teacher development and graduate routine duties are promoted. Part four summary the research results of this dissertation, and indicate some insufficient section in the work and research emphasis for further study.
